Works involved the complete renovation of a fire damaged Garda Station and the alterations to its layout. During the renovations the Station was in temporary use and kept open to the public. All existing ceilings were removed and walls demolished. Existing floor finishes were removed. New walls were erected in new locations and a complete new reception constructed. Structural alterations were carried out to remove internal support walls. All doors were upgraded to fire doors. A complete overhaul of the mechanical and electrical were undertaken to modernise the station. New floor covering throughout and decoration internally and externally. The existing traditional sash windows were overhauled to conservation requirements and decorated.
