Department of Social Protection, Portlaoise – Works involved the demolition and alteration of office space during which time the area was occupied. A strict safety plan was in place to protect all staff from the activities. Existing ceilings were removed and replaced. Existing walls were demolished and some new walls erected. All doors were upgraded to fire doors. Structural alterations were carried out on existing beams.  Existing toilets were upgraded for new regulations. New suspended ceiling, carpet tiles and marmoleum to floors and complete decoration throughout. A new kitchen/canteen was installed to accommodate the new numbers of staff
